Helplines could help you with cyber-attack advice
Fri, April 24, 2020
Over four weeks into lockdown and many businesses are operating differently than usual with a great number of people working from home. You will have no doubt read about and seen news items regarding the increase in cyber-attacks as opportunists take advantage of this unique situation to try and compromise IT security for their gain.
If you believe your business or colleagues may have been subject to a cyber-attack, you should check your cyber insurance policy for details on how to contact their free helpline. They will be able to advise you whether you have suffered a cyber-attack or data breach and what steps you should take to remediate the incident. In addition, they could offer guidance and support throughout the incident and provide advice on cyber security best practices.
If you do not currently have a cyber insurance policy in place, there is an insurer that is offering their helpline to non-policyholders during this crisis period. If you would like more information on this, please contact your local UKGlobal office.
